Call of Duty: World at War - Pacific Theater Mod

Call of Duty: World At War Pacific Mod is a user-generated mod for Call of Duty: World At War. It features a variety of new missions and experiences when playing the Pacific Missions. The mod boasts that it is an improvement over the vanilla version of the game by making numerous, positive changes.

This mod revamps the Pacific Theater missions. It boasts increased historical accuracy as it comes to weapons, locations, and more. As such, it gives you a brand new experience when playing. It is also worth noting that the game works well with co-ops and is compatible with other mods, potentially allowing you to layer multiple mods and dramatically alter your playing experience in order to become something that better fits for you. Indeed, there are other mods that also address historical accuracy for other missions, and when these are installed in tandem, it can make a dramatic improvement over the current status of the game. 

As noted by other reviewers, many of the changes brought by this mod are related to the visuals of the game. The game takes a new pass at uniforms, character models, equipment, weapons, and more. The changes are meant to be more in line with how all of these features actually appeared during the war. Many textures are outright removed and replaced with new ones.

Pros:

Cons:

• The owners of the mod note that you essentially have to read the Readme file first, otherwise, you may "get into trouble." This implies a lack of technical precision with the mod.
• This read me file requirement comes as a result of the difficulty associated with this mod's installation. This is unfortunate, particularly considering that other mods are much easier to install.
• While the attention paid to historical detail is impressive, it is not 100% accurate, as sound effects do not align with the new weapons.
